Qualification

I have been a practicing psychotherapist since 2005 and have a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology, with certificates in Family Therapy, Adult ADHD Counseling, Grief work, and Pet Loss and Bereavement.  I am licensed by the state of California as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I also draw on my own life experience to work with people who want to make changes in their lives.  I place great importance on the environments people live, work and socialize in, as well as their inner experiences.

Fees

My fee is $150-200 per fifty minute session.

I do not work directly with insurance companies. I believe the involvement of insurance companies in treatment of therapy clients can lead to work that is overly focused on diagnosis, pathology and short-term fixes. I keep my fees reasonable and have a sliding scale so that working with me is affordable. I will provide you with a record ( Super Bill) of the fees you have paid that you can submit for possible reimbursement from your insurance company. I accept cash, credit cards, Venmo and Zelle as payment.

What to Expect

Everyone has strengths and skills. I believe in emphasizing the positive as well as working on problems. We will work collaboratively , meaning I work alongside my clients to help them achieve their goals. We cannot change the past but we can live more fully in the present and the future. This work is a process which includes challenges as well as ups and downs, and sticking with it is bound to result in changes.
